Since the opening chords of Vivaldi's Gloria in 1967, Lakeland Choral Society has brought joyous choral music to the city of Lakeland and its surrounding communities. Most recently, the group performed “Many Moods of Christmas” with the Imperial Symphony Orchestra in December, 2011, and, in the spring of 2011, Beethoven’s “Mass in C,” and the Duruflé “Requiem”.
In addition to its celebrated concerts of choral masterworks, the Lakeland Choral Society supports an ambitious program providing annual scholarships to area high school and college students studying music at the undergraduate level.
