Scholarships
Acknowledging its role in promoting and advancing the performance of significant choral literature by the next generation of singers, Lakeland Choral Society supports an ambitious program—the Lee Ross Memorial Scholarships—to provide support for aspiring vocal musicians.

These scholarships are awarded to promote interest in vocal music in the community, to provide financial aid to young persons desiring to further their music education, to recognize the talent of young singers, and to encourage outstanding students of voice to continue their study and follow serious careers in music. Awards are sent directly to accredited college schools of music to defray music fees and tuition.

In the spring of each year, students from area high schools and colleges audition for scholarship awards funded annually by Lakeland Choral Society and awarded to students studying vocal music at the college level. Since 1985, Lakeland Choral Society has awarded scholarships to over 45 deserving students.
